The site's name comes from the nearby four-mile "Torrent Walk". Set in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, there is no shortage of outdoor activities. We didn't get chance to say goodbye, it's a bit frantic, packing the gear back on the bikes and getting the bike kit on, so, thank you, we had a great stay and we'll see you again next year. There are other facilities that we didn't use, a washroom, with a microwave and an outdoor undercover wash area.įor the fee we paid, I'm going to say this is the best all-round site we've used this year. The shower/toilet room was just fantastic, very clean and warm, which takes some doing in the middle of winter, well equipped and not too far from the pitches. Very reasonable price and plenty of logs. We used one of their fire pits and bought some logs and a fire starter kit. We got a friendly meet and greet then we were left to ourselves. It's level as well, so no sliding to the bottom of your tent. The site itself is excellent with flat pitches and good ground for tent pegs. We were 3 bikers so weather conditions play a big part in our trips. It won't stop us visiting again, we plan to head back as soon as the weather is better. I have to mention the traffic noise, it's not bad, but it is noticeable in the early hours. 5 stars for location, it's in Wales, what more can you ask? Seriously though, it is ideally located to explore the area and it still feels pretty isolated.
